TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR SIGN NIGERIAN TEENAGER

Tottenham Hotspur of DEngland have offered their Nigerian-born teenage striker, Jonathan Obika his first professional contract. 

The 18 year old Obika, is a Second Year trainee at White Hart Lane who has scored 11 goals for the under-18s so far this season, including a hat-trick in the FA Youth Cup third round victory over Sheffield United. His prowess and form in front of goal has earned him a professional contract and a possible place in Harry Redknapp’s first-team. Obika knows he has major battle in his hands if he must win a shirt in the star studded Spurs forward line. “I am well aware of the caliber of players we parade as attackers but I hope to take my chances, you never can tell” he quipped.
