ALFA TO REPLACE HENRIK LARSSON

Stunning news out of Sweden has it on authority that former Golden Eaglets bomber, Ibrahim Alfa is being considered to fill the void of an expected exit of Swedish idol, Henrik Larsson at Helsingborgs.

Details of the report from The Land of The Midnight Sun revealed that Larsson is still stalling on information about his future with the club.

The startling report has given credence to heated talk that Alfa is being considered as reinforcement for the Helsingborgs squad mid-next month.

To underline their interest in Alfa, the 18-year-old former Niger Tornadoes of Minna hot-shot, scorer of the best goal in the 2007 U-17 World Cup, has been recalled to the Swedish club, where he trained last year and has continued to stay in their sight.

“Yakubu is a young player we have had under review for a very longer time and it has been clear for quite a while that he would come to us.

“Yakubu is an all-round player, with extreme talent that we hope we can train on to a really good international player,” said Helsingborg sport director, Jesper Jansson.
