Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosso has facetiously declared that Thursday's 2-1 loss to South Africa will motivate the players to raise their game against Ivory Coast on Sunday.
"They played very well and we were disappointed to lose, but this will motivate the boys to do better against Ivory Coast because they have to win that match to qualify," Bosso said after the game.
Bosso's team was outplayed by the quicker and more technical South Africans, who made better use of the ball.
Defeat leaves the Flying Eagles needing to win against a so far winless Ivory Coast to make the semifinals and qualification for the World Youth Championships.
