OGBONNA CLOSING IN ON ARSENAL

Another Nigerian star looks good to take after Super Eagles skipper, Nwankwo Kanu (Papillo) as a player of English Premier League side, Arsenal; with reports from England revealing that AS Torino star, Angelo Obienze Ogbonna is bound to celebrate his recent escape from a car crash with a deal at The Emirates.

The report revealed further that The Gunners are following Ogbonna with keen interest, and the defender-cum-midfielder could get a deal this month.

The Italian youth international has been with Toro for two years, during which he had a spell on loan with Serie B side, Cessena last season.

Ogbonna is back at his familiar hunting field in Turin, where he is again battling to make his mark, which leaves the Arsenal interest as a very surprising yet reassuring offer for the Nigerian-born player.

The 20-year-old Ogbonna is still picking up the pieces after an initial loan deal with Crotone.
